HISTORY IS WAITING!
Come climb the 129 circular steps to the top of the St Simons Lighthouse, one of only five in Georgia, as it cast its beam 23 miles out to sea. Standing 104 feet tall and still aiding ships navigating our coastal waters, the Lighthouse offers spectacular, panoramic views well worth the trip up. Then, explore the original 1872 Keeper's Dwelling at its base, which served as home to the lighthouse keepers. Now a museum the two-story, Victorian structure hosts exhibits and artifacts which tell the story of the lighthouse and the way of life for its keepers.
